Many conditions requiring conservative care do not require an x-ray or additional special imaging for their diagnosis as it would have no impact on the direction of treatment. In some situations may it may even be misleading if not properly associated with clinical signs. If not required for patient safety, some types of imaging pose the risk of unnecessary exposure to radiation which can be detrimental to health.
