Dr. Adam George Martynuik DC
Dr. Adam Martynuik DC holds a doctorate degree in chiropractic medicine from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where he graduated Cum Laude with Clinic Honours. Prior to these studies he successfully completed an Honours Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario where he graduated with distinction.
Dr. Martynuik is a graduate of the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program allowing him to intgrate acupuncture with manual and rehabilitative therapies. Adam is also a Certified Provider of Active Release Techniques® (ART®), a soft tissue therapy, which allows him to integrate chiropractic joint care with attention to the muscles, ligaments, and nerves.
Dr. Martynuik also holds certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), which in conjunction with nearly a decade of personal training experience allows him to train individuals on a spectrum from the elite athlete to those just beginning their first fitness program.
In 2009 Dr. Martynuik moved to Collingwood from his hometown of Brampton to, as they say in Collingwood, “Live, Work, and Play!” Since, Adam has become a member the extraordinary health care at Synergy Health and Wellness Centre. To Adam both Collingwood and the surrounding Georgian Bay communities offer an improved quality of life as these pleasant towns are populated by many health-conscious and athletic individuals such as himself. He looks forward to frequent trips up to the mountain for a snowboarding session and ice hockey in the winter, as well as the great golf courses, running and biking trails, football, snorkeling, sailing and water sports available in the summer.
Adam is an avid community volunteer and participant including activities such as giving local health orientated talks and presentations to community businesses and athletes; being a committed member of several community sporting leagues; being an active participant in the local music scene; and proudest of all helping to coach the 2009 Collingwood Collegiate Institute senior football team, the Fighting Owls, to win the GBSSA championship as strength and conditioning coach.
